We’re delighted to welcome Nicky Wilson-Everett to the eyesource family as she joins to become our new Sales Director.
We’re excited Nicky has chosen to join our eyesource team and her wealth of experience will be invaluable as we continue to expand. To get to know Nicky better we took ten minutes to ask some questions about her career, the market and what she likes to do in her spare time.
You have excellent industry experience, tell us a little about your professional career to date please?
My whole career has been in sales starting back in the 90’s at Yellow Pages creating marketing plans for small businesses in and around London. My first experience in energy was at Make It Cheaper (Bionic) in London where I grew their corporate sales team looking after the higher value contracts, this led to a move to Sydney where I ran the sales team selling SME and Corporate contracts. On my return to the UK I was very lucky to join Online Direct as Head of Sales , just a five minute commute from home! The experience I gained here from working with a breadth of brokers will hopefully stand me in good stead for driving the growth at eyesource.
What are your top priorities for the next month?
I really want to get to know our current partners and understand how we can help them further in the challenging times we are facing in the current marketplace. I will be visiting the head office in Glasgow regularly to ensure I am working with the team to offer my insight and guidance to enable the team to offer support for our brokers.
You chose to move to eyesource, what factors helped you make the decision?
When I met Jamie the MD at eyesource it was clearly evident the passion he has to drive technology and solutions in the market for our TPI partners. I was very impressed with the online portal eyesource has developed making the journey for brokers a smooth and intuitive one. eyesource has a great reputation amongst the suppliers which also supported my decision to join.
There’s some challenges in the market (TPI Government review & energy crisis), how can you help TPIs?
The last 18 months has been a challenge for those working in the energy market – eyesource are here to help guide and support our partners. We ensure that we are up to speed with all industry changes and legislation that will impact the end customers. Our team of account managers are always on hand to discuss any challenges our partners may be facing and provide solutions.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am the captain of a local ladies hockey team – Wootton Wanderers – so most Saturdays you will find me on the pitch with my lovely ladies 3’s team. The rest of my spare time is spent with my 2 daughters Isabelle and Darcey generally playing taxi lady for them.
